"La" Boracay

This 2014, for some reason EVERYONE and I mean everyone was in "laboracay" or specifically, #laboracay2014. The portmanteau is derived from the words "labor" (as in Labor Day weekend in May) and "Boracay." Go figure. (Rolling your eyes is normal). With the sudden rush of hordes of local tourists, I was expecting the entire island to sink. Thankfully it didn't.

Boracay remains one of the most enchanting beaches in the world, popular especially among Mainland Chinese tourists. Despite the tourist prices, people don't go there just to tan along the breathtaking shores, but to engage in water activities, get henna tattoos and dreadlocks, and to party and socialize as well. This is my definition of island living.
