Autumn in Sapporo City, Hokkaido

HAPPINESS AND WARMTH. Former Hokkaido Government Office Building Park
The definition of happiness constantly changes, depending on one's situation. On a visit to Sapporo recently, I discovered it was as simple as enjoying a warm cup of coffee on a sunny day in winter (as you can clearly see in the above photo.)

Sapporo is a truly beautiful city with a noticeable European influence. There was so much history, art and architecture to admire. (It reminded me of Shanghai.) One of the best features is that all the popular tourist spots can be reached on foot from anywhere downtown! I didn't take one subway ride. Sapporo also has a Streetcar (tram) Network which I didn't have a chance or need to use.

Although I've only visited during autumn, I can totally tell the city would look and feel wonderful any season of the year.
